The UN Security Council held its session on Wednesday to discuss the current situation in Lebanon.
The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, confirmed today, Wednesday, that things are turning for the worse in Lebanon.
Guterres said during the UN Security Council session on Lebanon followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Civilians in Lebanon are paying a heavy price for the conflict, which is something we strongly condemn,"
He added, "UNIFIL forces are still in their positions in southern Lebanon," stressing that "it is necessary to prevent all-out war in Lebanon."
