The Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, confirmed on Monday that the resistance forces are fully prepared to confront any ground invasion by the Zionist entity, asserting that the Zionist enemy will not achieve its objectives and the victory will be theirs.
In a statement during a press conference followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Sheikh Naim Qassem stated: "The martyr, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, dedicated his absolute priority to Palestine and Al-Quds, remaining in the field until the moment of his martyrdom."
He added, "Contrary to what the Zionist enemy claimed, there was no meeting of twenty commanders."
He further explained that "the Zionist entity is attacking civilians, most of whom are children and women."
Qassem emphasized, "The path that Sayyed Nasrallah cultivated continues, and Hezbollah remains steadfast. The command and control structure will proceed as before. Despite the martyrdom of leaders and the bombardment of innocent people, we will not falter, and our operations will continue with the same intensity."
He continued, "The Zionist enemy will not achieve its goals, and we will emerge victorious as we did in 2006 against the Zionist enemy," adding that "we are following the party’s leadership and control structure. There are replacements for every leader, and we will elect a new Secretary-General at the earliest opportunity through clear and straightforward mechanisms, as we stand united in purpose."
Qassem further affirmed, "The resistance will continue to defend Gaza and Lebanon," pointing out that "the Zionist entity admitted that a single rocket forced a million people into shelters."
He concluded, "What we are currently doing is the minimum according to our battle management plans against the Zionist entity, and we understand that this conflict will be prolonged."
He stressed, "The resistance forces are fully prepared to face the Zionist ground invasion. Our capabilities are significant, and the Zionist entity is in turmoil because it cannot reach these capabilities."
In closing, Qassem praised "our people, who have stood firm through challenging tasks. We have full confidence in you, the people of sacrifice and devotion, and we will win, just as we did in 2006."
He also expressed his gratitude to the Lebanese government, the Lebanese people, and all institutions that have stood for justice, highlighting the "honorable national unity demonstrated in confronting the Zionist entity."
