Al-Hakim stated that "when confronted with the evidence, he confessed to his participation in carrying out the operation after receiving an explosive device from another accused who was also arrested," noting that "the investigations revealed that the first accused used social media sites disguised as a girl to lure one of the checkpoint members and placed an explosive device inside a delivery order and sent it with the bike driver who was not aware of this, which led to its explosion when it was opened."
