The United Nations expressed on Friday that it is monitoring developments in Beirut with great concern.

"Deeply alarmed and profoundly worried about the potential civilian impact of tonight’s massive strikes on Beirut’s densely populated southern suburbs," said the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, in a post on “X”- followed by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

She added that "the city is still shaking with fear and panic widespread. All must urgently cease-fire."

The Lebanese News Agency - NNA-leb also reported on Friday that the Zionist raids on Haret Hreik caused great destruction.

"The enemy aircraft carried out a series of violent raids on the southern suburb area, and thick clouds of smoke covered the sky of the area," added NNA-leb.

It quoted a close source to Hezbollah, saying that "the Secretary-General of the party, Hassan Nasrallah, is fine," after the media of the Zionist enemy reported that he was the target of the strikes on the southern suburb of Beirut.
