The Ministry of Transport announced, on Wednesday, the preparation of Iraqi airports to organize the transfer of humanitarian aid to Lebanon.
The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "In light of the difficult circumstances experienced by the brotherly Lebanese people, and in line with the call of the wise authority and the directives of the Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi, the Director General of Airports, Abbas Al-Baydani, is supervising the preparation of Iraqi airports to organize the transfer of urgent humanitarian aid to Lebanon.
" It added, "This initiative comes in response to the humanitarian and fraternal responsibility that binds the Iraqi and Lebanese peoples and in confirmation of Iraq's pioneering role in providing humanitarian support to brotherly countries."
