The Iraqi Red Crescent Society - IRCS announced on Tuesday the preparation of mobile hospitals, medical clinics and rest stations at border crossings.
"Mobile hospitals, medical clinics and rest stations to be deployed at Iraqi border crossings to receive Lebanese IDP families as a result of the Zionist bombing of Lebanon," said IRCS in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
Earlier, PM Muhammed S. Al-Sudani issued on Tuesday three directives regarding Lebanese citizens.
A statement issued by the PM's Media Office, received by INA, stated, "Given the difficult circumstances experienced by the brotherly Lebanese people, who have been subjected to criminal Zionist aggression for days", and in solidarity and support from Iraq, the government and people, with the brothers in Lebanon, the Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammed S. Al-Sudani, directed the following:
1- Extending the entry visa for Lebanese citizens present in Iraq without the need to travel for thirty days, and extending it again, based on the provisions of the Foreigners' Residence Law No.76 of 2017, due to the compelling war conditions that Lebanon is going through.
2- Exempting Lebanese citizens who are currently in violation of the penalties stipulated in the above law.
3- Continuing to grant free entry visas to Lebanese citizens arriving at Iraqi border crossings.
