Al-Abbas Holy Shrine sends humanitarian aid to Lebanon

The General Secretariat of Al-Abbas Holy Shrine announced, on Monday, sending humanitarian aid to Lebanon.

"In solidarity with the Lebanese people and to console them in their painful suffering, and in implementation of the directives of the Supreme Religious Authority in Najaf Al-Ashraf calling on believers to do what contributes to alleviating the suffering of the Lebanese people and securing their humanitarian needs, the General Secretariat of Al-Abbas Holy Shrine took the initiative to prepare what is necessary to deliver humanitarian aid to the Lebanese people," said the Holy Shrine in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

According to the statement, "This came in coordination with the Iraqi government; to facilitate the procedures for sending it as soon as possible."

Earlier, the Supreme Religious Authority called to make every possible effort to stop this ongoing barbaric aggression and protect the Lebanese people from its destructive effects, calling on "believers to do what contributes to alleviating their suffering and securing their humanitarian needs."
