Saudi Flyadeal begins flights to Iraqi airports

    Saudi Arabia's Flyadeal airline announced on Saturday, the start of its flights to Iraqi airports.
     
    The company stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "in order to activate Iraqi-Saudi relations and in line with the Iraqi government program, diplomatic efforts, mutual government visits, joint committees between the two countries, and Iraq's efforts to open up purposefully to the Arab and international environment and to enhance the Umrah season and the influx of Iraqi pilgrims to perform Umrah in the Holy Land, the Saudi airline (Flyadeal) has begun operating with large-capacity aircraft with three flights per week distributed between Baghdad International Airport, Najaf Airport, and Basra International Airport."
     
    The statement added that "the company intends to increase the number of flights and make them daily to include and extend to all Iraqi airports in order to accommodate the large numbers of Iraqi pilgrims and visit the multiple options and flights in order to facilitate the departure of Iraqi citizens wishing to perform Umrah and visit the Kingdom."
