Anbar Criminal Court: 15 years in prison for a drug dealer

    Anbar Criminal Court issued a 15-year prison sentence on Wednesday, against a drug dealer for the crime of drug trafficking.
     
    The media center of the Supreme Judicial Council stated in a statement as received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the convict was found in possession of five thousand amphetamine pills with the intention of trading and selling them among addicts."
     
    The statement added, "The ruling was issued based on the provisions of Article 28/First of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law No. 50 of 2017."
