Minister of Interior emphasizes the need to address erroneous and extremist ideas through a professional approach

Minister of Interior Abd al-Amir al-Shammari asserted on Tuesday, the necessity of addressing erroneous and extremist ideas by adopting a professional approach.
 
The Ministry of Interior stated in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "under the patronage and presence of Minister of Interior Abd al-Amir al-Shammari, the Research and Studies Center at the Police Academy held its first annual scientific conference under the slogan (Intellectual Fortification Against Societal Deviations and Means of Addressing Them) at the Academy's headquarters, attended by several university presidents, deans of colleges, and a distinguished group of leaders and officers."
 
The statement noted that "the minister delivered a speech at the conference, in which he emphasized the pursuit of strengthening the foundations for the advancement of the Ministry of Interior's institutions across all scientific, intellectual, legal, and societal levels. 
He outlined a work program that forms part of governmental reform, prioritizing the enhancement of professional performance among officers and personnel within the Ministry of Interior."
 
The minister stressed, according to the statement, the importance of intellectual fortification by reassessing scientific and training curricula and establishing correct foundations for them. 
He also indicated that "the Ministry of Interior is progressing in this matter and has opened educational channels in collaboration with relevant ministries and scientific institutions."
 
Al-Shammari highlighted "the importance of building society and benefiting from the studies and research provided by reputable scientific institutions in this regard," affirming that "the Ministry of Interior is moving in the right direction in addressing erroneous and extremist ideas by adopting a professional approach."
