Al-Shorta coach Ahmed Salah confirmed today, Sunday, that tomorrow's match against Al-Nasr Saudi club for the AFC Champions League for the elite is to lift the ban on Baghdad stadiums permanently.
Salah said in the press conference for the match, which was attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We are ready for the match despite the fact that the Iraqi league competitions have not started yet, and our goal is to raise the name of Iraq."
He added, "Seven players from Al-Shorta Club will not participate in the match due to special circumstances," stressing that "Al-Nasr team is stronger than the Saudi national team," indicating that "Al-Nasr coach is smart."
For his part, Al-Shorta player Fahad Al-Youssef said, "We know Al-Nasr team because we played against them in the Arab Championship," indicating that "Al-Shorta plays as one bloc and that he considers himself Iraqi despite his Syrian nationality, indicating that "Al-Shorta has many experiences in this stadium."
