Castro said in the press conference for the match, which was attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "I am happy to visit Iraq and Baghdad is a beautiful city," indicating that "our goal is to win against Al-Shorta, although our team is missing some players, but we will enter the match with passion and great love for football."
He added, "We will be satisfied with training in the hotel's gyms due to the fatigue of travel and the pressure of matches," explaining, "I have been working as a coach for (28) years and the real thing that worries me is that I do not give my all, and the best thing that happened in my coaching career was my work and I am not worried about being fired, I am only worried about tomorrow's match."
Castro stressing that "his team will play tomorrow without Cristiano Ronaldo and without Laporte, but our thinking will remain to win the match."
For his part, Al-Nasr striker Sadio Mane said, "I am very happy to visit Iraq, this historical country that has a love of football. Iraq is a great country and we found a great welcome from its officials," stressing that "we are determined to win and we will present it as a gift to Cristiano, who is absent due to illness, and we wish him a speedy recovery as he is a great leader and we wished he was here."
