Interior Ministry dismisses airstrike claims, confirms controlled fire incident in strategic zone

The Ministry of Interior-MOI denied on Monday, reports regarding an airstrike occurring between the areas of Al-Suwayra and Al-Aziziyah.
 
MOI said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "some social media outlets circulated news about an airstrike between the areas of Al-Suwayra and Al-Aziziyah."
 
The statement added, "While we deny these reports, we confirm that the incident was actually a fire outbreak involving a quantity of vegetation in the area, which led to the burning of some equipment present there."
 
Furthermore, it stated that "the incident was brought under control without any reported human casualties, according to preliminary information regarding this incident."
