Muthanna Criminal Court: Life imprisonment for a drug dealer

    Muthanna Criminal Court issued a life sentence against a drug dealer on Sunday.
     
    The Supreme Judicial Council stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the convict was caught in possession of the narcotic substance methylamphetamine with the intention of trading and selling it among users."
     
    The statement added that "the ruling was issued based on the provisions of Article 28 / First of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law No. 50 of 2017."
