Baghdad - INA
The Iraqi Airways Corporation announced, today, Saturday, that it has taken appropriate operational measures to reduce delay hours.
The airline stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "during 30 days, it was working to transport visitors and passengers smoothly and safely, and without any delay, as it worked to implement 60 flights per day, at a rate of 1900 flights per month, but on the last day of the reverse grouping and due to the shortage of crews, there was confusion in the take-off times, which forced the company to take appropriate operational measures to reduce the hours of delay, and to ensure the satisfaction of passengers on board the national carrier.".
The statement added that "Iraqi Airways is keen to adhere to international civil aviation standards applied by the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority, as it worked to mobilize all its energies in order to address the state of confusion and resume scheduled flights.".
The statement indicated that "the airline company apologized to passengers for the unintentional delay in flight times," stressing its keenness to "provide all means of comfort, and improve the level of services provided to passengers on board the national carrier."
