The Joint Operations Command announced, today, Saturday, the discovery of 14 bodies of terrorists who were targeted yesterday in the Al-Hazimi area, east of Wadi Al-Ghadf, in the Anbar desert.
The operations said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Following our statement on the qualitative operation that was carried out based on the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, yesterday, in the Anbar desert, specifically in the Al-Hazimi area east of Wadi Al-Ghadaf."
It added, "In order to tighten control over the area, and under the supervision and planning of the Joint Operations Command and the Targeting Cell and with the support of the heroes in the army aviation, a joint force from the Counter-Terrorism Service and the 5th Division of the Iraqi Army set off at 4:00 am today, Saturday, to search the place, its approaches and the guest houses."
It continued, "The force found 14 bodies of terrorists who were targeted yesterday, as well as a number of explosive belts that were detonated under control, as well as various weapons and ammunition, documents, technical materials, computers, phones and other important new documents other than those mentioned in our previous statement."
JOC pointed out that "during this operation, the security forces assigned to this duty spotted a vehicle carrying two terrorists, so they began to surround the vehicle and arrest them. According to the initial investigations with them, it became clear that they had fled from one of the hideouts to transfer important documents and other materials that were in their possession."
JOC continued, "This duty is still ongoing to complete the search and inspection operations and completely cleanse the area from the filth of terrorism," explaining that "the heroes in the armed forces are continuing their qualitative preemptive operations to crush the rotten heads of terrorism in loyalty to the pure blood of our righteous martyrs whose souls embraced the gardens of paradise and did not skimp on sacrifice so that Iraq could enjoy peace and security."
The Joint Operations Command announced yesterday, Friday, the killing of 14 terrorists, including leaders of the terrorist ISIS gangs in the Anbar desert.
