MOI Reports Death of Personnel in Clash with Wanted Suspects in Al-Diwaniya

The Ministry of Interior-MOI reported on Friday the martyrdom of a personnel member during clashes with a dangerous wanted suspect and three of his companions in Al-Diwaniya."

In a statement received by The Iraqi News Agency-INA, MOI said "A reconnaissance team composed of Rapid Response Intelligence and Al-Diwaniya Counter-Terrorism forces succeeded in raiding the location where the suspect, Raheem Fannar, who has been wanted for murder and robbery since 2014, was found."

The statement added that “the executing force engaged in a clash with this suspect, who is considered one of the most dangerous wanted individuals for criminal operations, resulting in his injury and arrest. Additionally, three other suspects who were accompanying him were also injured. The security forces are currently pursuing them, and one hero from the personnel of the Ministry of Interior was martyred during this operation."
