The Ministry of Interior announced, on Tuesday, the extradition of a wanted person to the Iraqi judiciary on drug trafficking charges from the Sultanate of Oman.
"With intensive and exceptional efforts and in direct coordination with Interpol Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman, the Arab Police Directorate detachments were able to extradite a wanted person to the Iraqi judiciary for the crime of 'drug trafficking'," said the ministry in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
It added, "He was handed over to the requesting party to receive his just punishment."
