51 kg of Captagon seized in Anbar

The General Directorate of Narcotics Affairs announced, today, Thursday, the arrest of a major dealer and the seizure of (51) kilograms of Captagon narcotic in Anbar Governorate.
A statement by the Directorate received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said: "Based on the directives of the Director General of Narcotics Affairs, a specialized working team was formed headed by the Director of the Anbar Narcotics Affairs Directorate to set up a tight ambush for a major drug dealer. Based on accurate information and judicial decisions, he was arrested red-handed with (51) kilograms of Captagon in his possession.".
The statement added that "the dealer was detained under the provisions of Article (28) of Narcotics to receive his just punishment.".
The statement continued, "The men of the General Directorate of Narcotics Affairs pledge to the Iraqi people to destroy the dens and strongholds of drug dealers locally and internationally and will be the striking hand of anyone who tries to tamper with the security of the homeland and the citizen.".
