The collapse of a building in Gharbia Governorate in Egypt, today, Saturday, led to the death of at least 4 people and the injury of six others.
The authorities succeeded in recovering four bodies, including two women, while eyewitnesses said that a large number of residents were inside the building when it collapsed.
The search for possible victims or injured people is still ongoing.
The governor of Gharbia ordered the evacuation of the buildings adjacent to the collapsed building, and the formation of a committee to determine the extent of their impact by the collapse.
He said: “The collapse was the result of one of the residents of the building carrying out renovation work without a license, as he removed a wall from his house, which led to the building collapsing on its residents.”
