PM receives the families of Speicher massacres' martyrs

    Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani confirmed today, Thursday, the imminent distribution of distinct plots of land to the families of the martyrs of the Ministry of Defense.

    The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Al-Sudani received a group of families of the martyrs of the Speicher massacre, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the painful tragedy."

    He added, "The Prime Minister welcomed - at the beginning of the meeting - the families of the sacrificing martyrs, recalling the heinous crimes of terrorists that revealed the falsity of their claims," ​​noting that "the martyr represents a supreme value and a position of honor and pride, in addition to the high status of the martyr's family."

    Al-Sudani assured - according to the statement - to the families of the martyrs, “The government will continue to track down the rest of the criminals who committed the Speicher crime and other crimes, whether they were inside or outside Iraq,” indicating that “the security services were able to arrest many of them and they received their just punishment.”

    The Prime Minister stressed, “The state’s commitment, with all its institutions and authorities, to care for the families of the martyrs and provide them with the necessary attention, which is a duty, not a favor. He stressed that the government will address any shortcomings related to the requirements for providing care to the families of the martyrs,” noting, “The imminent distribution of distinct plots of land to the families of the martyrs.” Martyrs of the Ministry of Defense in Basra Governorate and the rest of the governorates, and the government also stipulated that investors allocate a share of each project to be distributed among the families of the martyrs and needy families.”

    Al-Sudani listened to, “the requests and problems of the families of the martyrs and instructed them to address them. He also directed the Martyrs Foundation to simplify and complete the procedures for dealing with the families of the martyrs and adopt electronic mechanisms without the need for citizen review.”
