The national athletics team achieved two gold and silver medals in the long jump race in the West Asian Athletics Championships being held in the city of Basra.
The player, Abdullah Jalal, was able to win the race gold after his jump reached 7.12 metres, while his teammate Ihab Taha came second with a height of 7.3 metres.”
