Al-Sudani Meets with GE Vernova CEO

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received Mr. Scott Strazik, CEO of GE Vernova, at his residence in Washington. GE Vernova specializes in energy technology development.
 
Prime Minister’s Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that “The meeting focused on discussing ways to enhance the company's operations in Iraq and the future of energy production, within the context of ongoing developments in the oil and electricity sectors. This discussion aligns with the government’s program aimed at developing these sectors, improving production and distribution efficiency for electrical energy.
 
Prime Minister Al-Sudani emphasized the government's willingness to expand cooperation and partnerships with reputable companies, offering all necessary support for investment. He also extended an invitation to the company to establish maintenance workshops for power turbines within Iraq, aiming to shorten the rehabilitation period and contribute to the training of Iraqi national staff.
