Shakhwan: We are keen to support legislation that is in the interest of the citizen

    Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Shakhwan Abdullah, confirmed today, Wednesday, that the Presidency of the House of Representatives is keen to support legislation that is in the interest of the citizen.
     
     
    The Media Department of the House of Representatives said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that “Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Shakhwan Abdullah, chaired a meeting of the Legal Committee in the presence of the Chairman and members of the Committee today, Wednesday, to discuss the draft amendment to the Property Claims Authority Law No. (13) of 2010.”
    The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives praised according to the statement  “the efforts of the Legal Committee and its pivotal role within the Council, stressing the need for the Legal Committee to review all the laws of the other parliamentary committees in order to ensure the proper legal drafting of all laws.”
    He pointed out that "the Property Claims Law is one of the important laws that affects the life of the citizen, and that the Presidency of the Council is keen to support legislation that is in the interest of the citizen."
     "The Chairman of the Legal Committee, Representative Rebwar Hadi, and the members of the committee reviewed the observations and proposals presented regarding amending the law and the most important legal formulations agreed upon by the committee before submitting it to a vote in the council session." According to the statement.
