Iraq: Heavy rain for 3 days

The Iraqi Meteorology Organization and Seismology confirmed on Tuesday, that the current rainy condition will continue for 3 days, according to current data, warning of hailstones and the occurrence of torrential rains in some areas.

“The impact of the depression coming from the Red Sea is continuing, affecting the country with moderate to heavy rains along with falling temperatures," said the Director of Media of the Organization, Amer Al-Jabri, to the Iraqi News Agency - INA. 

He noted, "The rainy situation, according to current data, will continue for 3 days and affect several regions of the country. We warn of the possibility of torrential rains in the eastern border strip of the country and the possibility of hailstones falling in several regions."

"The forecasts of weather forecasters indicate that the depression will subside starting next Friday and Saturday, and if changes occur, we will issue a new report," he added.
