Iraq: Measures to support the export of Iraqi products

The Ministry of Commerce announced on Monday, measures to encourage the export of Iraqi products and support exporters, while indicating the provision of loans and grants.

"The General Company for Exhibitions and Commercial Services supports exporters through the Export Support Fund via loans and grants, as well as simplifying procedures by adopting the electronic system in issuing an export license," said Director General of the Exhibitions Company and Head of the Export Support Fund Committee in the Ministry of Commerce, Mustafa Al-Ani, to the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

Al-Ani added, "The company also provides support by contributing to bearing the costs of participating in international exhibitions held in countries, by paying the costs of renting exhibition spaces and shipping fees for the goods allocated for the display."

"There are multiple meetings held by the Minister of Commerce, Atheer Daoud Al-Ghurairi, with industrial exporters and others to overcome the difficulties and obstacles in procedures and others, whether those can be resolved through the ministry or the Ministerial Council for the Economy," he included.
