The Minister of Immigration and Displacement, Evan Faiq Jabro, announced on Tuesday, the closure of the Tazade camp in Sulaymaniyah.
“Within the directives of PM Muhammed S. Al-Sudani to end the IDP file in the country, and in implementation of the national plan to return the displaced and integrate them with society, the Tazade camp in Sulaymaniyah Governorate was closed, after the return of the last IDPs numbers to their original areas in Diyala and Salah al-Din," said Jabro said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
She noted, "All returning families received the financial grant amounts amounting to four million dinars directly, in addition to being included in relief aid," expressing at the same time her thanks "to the local government in Sulaymaniyah Governorate and the Garmian administration for their great cooperation in implementing the federal government's plan to facilitate the return of the IDPs to their homes and close the camps."
"The Ministry is continuing to implement the decision until the end of this file in full, in cooperation with all supporting parties," he highlighted.
