Rashid highlights how crucial it is to take inspiration from the ideas of tolerance and brotherhood among Iraqi society

    Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, the president of the Republic, emphasized on Wednesday how crucial it is for religious scholars to inspire and spread the values of brotherhood, tolerance, and harmony among the various facets of Iraqi society throughout the month of Ramadan.

    "The president of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received at the Peace Palace in Baghdad, the head of the Sunni Endowment Office, Dr. Mishaan Al-Khazraji," according to a statement released by the presidency's media department and obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

    "The importance of the role of religious scholars and mosque preachers in raising awareness, connecting classes, and uniting among the community in order to consolidate stability in the country," the president of the republic noted during the meeting.

    He emphasized the "need to work to consolidate coexistence and strengthen ties and be inspired by the meanings of tolerance, brotherhood, and harmony in this holy month."

    In reference to the restoration of mosques, the President of the Republic emphasized his "acquiescence in furnishing the essential conditions for them," expressing his "apprehension and admiration for religious scholars and their national roles that merit recognition and esteem."
     
    Regarding "the activities carried out by the Endowment Office in the field of promoting the state of harmony, peace, and security in the country," the head of the Sunni Waqf office praised the "role of the president of the Republic in strengthening national unity."
