The Ministry of Commerce announced ,on Sunday , the start of the sixth session meetings of the Iraqi-Iranian joint committee in Tehran.
A ministry statement received by the Iraqi News Agency(INA ) said that " the meetings of the sixth session of the Iraqi-Iranian Joint Committee began in Iranian capital Tehran, which is chaired by the Iraqi minister of Commerce , Atheer Daoud Al-Ghurairi, to discuss strengthening economic and trade relations and understanding on the ten Joint memorandums of understanding that the two sides intend to sign in various fields and to serve the common interests”.
The statement added that "the work of the committee will continue over 5 th and 6th of May, where today the discussions of the specialized committees will be in the presence of members of the delegations of the two sides to reach the final joint minutes at the headquarters of the Iranian Ministry of economy and finance".
"The specialized committees included the commercial, industrial, agricultural, standardization and Quality Control Committee, the energy committee, the finance, banking, investment and Insurance Committee, the shipping, transport and Customs Committee, and the scientific, educational, tourism, health and sports consulate Committee"the statement continued.
It is noteworthy that the members of a high-level Iraqi delegation arrived on Saturday evening in Iranian capital Tehran.
