Drug bust in Diwaniyah: 6 detained on drug-related charges

The Ministry of Interior declared that six individuals charged with drug trafficking were caught and found to be in possession of a significant amount of crystal meth in Diwaniyah.

"During a distinguished operation, a joint force from the Directorate of drug Affairs in Diwaniyah carried out a qualitative operation based on intelligence effort, which resulted after shooting in the arrest of 6 wanted for trading and using drugs and carrying a amount of crystal meth as well as firearms," stated Ministry spokesman Brigadier General Muqdad Miri in a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
