Al-Maliki receives the head of MIT, Ibrahim Kalın

    The head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, confirmed on Tuesday, that Iraq is working to respect the sovereignty of states and reach understandings about border security.
     
    Al-Maliki’s media office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), “The head of the State of Law coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, received in his office today, the head of the Turkish the National Intelligence Organization (MIT), Ibrahim Kalin, and his accompanying delegation,” indicating that “during the meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to develop them were reviewed in addition to the challenges the region is witnessing as a result of the repercussions of the Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip.”
     
    "The necessity of strengthening and developing relations between the two countries in various fields, especially the energy and reconstruction sectors," Al-Maliki stressed "the importance of adopting dialogue to resolve the outstanding issues and issues between Baghdad and Ankara."
     
    "Iraq is working with neighboring countries to respect the sovereignty of countries, reach understandings about border security, and pursue all groups that aim to destabilize security and stability,” Al-Maliki pointed out .
     
    Regarding the current events in occupied Palestine, the head of the State of Law coalition called on "all countries in the region to support the Palestinian people in achieving their legitimate rights and to stop the crimes committed by Zionist entity against the Palestinian people."
     
    For his part, the head of the Turkish Intelligence Service presented the greetings of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Al-Maliki, expressing "his country's support for the security and stability of Iraq, and its aspiration to strengthen cooperation relations, especially in the areas of security, economy and transportation."
