A senior source: PM stands at the same distance from all candidates for the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives

A senior source confirmed today, Thursday, that Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani stands at the same distance from all candidates for the Presidency of the House of Representatives.

The source told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani met with representatives of the Sunni forces and confirmed during his meetings that he stands at the same distance from all candidates for the Presidency of the House of Representatives.”

He pointed out, "The Prime Minister respects the principle of separation of powers and constantly emphasizes joint coordination in order to provide services to citizens and approve urgent laws."

The House of Representatives has set next Saturday as a date for holding a regular session during which it will elect a president.
