Al-Mandalawi calls on the Asian Parliament to adopt four resolutions on the situation in Gaza

    Acting Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, on Thursday, called on the Asian Parliamentary Assembly to adopt four resolutions on the situation in Gaza, calling on the United Nations to intervene immediately to stop the Zionist aggression and all military actions.

    A statement issued by the media office of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated " Al-Mandalawi called on the Asian Parliamentary Assembly to adopt four resolutions that he personally put forward during his speech at the first meeting of Palestine Committee of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, which is being held in Iranian capital Tehran”.

    “Al-Mandalawi called on the states, governments and parliaments of the Asian Assembly to "call on the United Nations to intervene immediately to stop the Zionist aggression and all military actions, open border crossings for humanitarian aid entry , in addition to boycott the Zionist entity for committing genocidal crimes against the Palestinian people, violating the 3rd and 4th Geneva Conventions on prisoners and the protection of civilians, and violating the provisions of the International Covenant on civil rights, the Universal Declaration of human rights and nearly ninety Security Council resolutions on the Palestinian issue", the statement added.

    The chairman of the Arab Parliamentary Union, Al-Mandalaw stressed "the need for Asian countries government to adopt a resolution to reject and stop the forced displacement of Palestinians in Gaza Strip and to establish an Asian Fund for the reconstruction of Gaza Strip, as well as to invite all countries of the world and international organizations to participate in this fund".

    Al-Mandalaw praised the" sacrifices and steadfastness of the patient Palestinian people ", stressing that "the solution is in restoring their full rights by establishing their independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital".
