The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has called for lifting the siege on the Gaza Strip, rejecting repeated Zionist calls to displace its residents.

This came in the final statement of the Executive Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in its extraordinary open-ended meeting held at the level of foreign ministers in the city of Jeddah, western Saudi Arabia, to discuss the repercussions of the ongoing Zionist military aggression against the Palestinian people since the seventh of this October.

The statement called for an immediate cessation of the barbaric aggression of the Zionist enemy forces against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, and the immediate lifting of the siege imposed on the Strip.

It called on "all countries and the international community to quickly provide urgent humanitarian, medical and relief aid, provide water and electricity, and immediately open safe humanitarian corridors to deliver urgent aid to the Gaza Strip."

The statement strongly condemned the blatant targeting by the brutal Zionist enemy forces of al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in the Gaza Strip, considering it a “war crime and genocide.”

The enemy bombing on the hospital killed more than 500 people, including women and children.

In its statement, the emergency meeting affirmed the categorical rejection of calls to displace the population of the Gaza Strip, while affirming support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their land, calling on the international community to “play its role to prevent any attempts to displace them outside it, and to transfer the crisis to neighboring countries.”

The statement called on the United Nations and its Security Council to shoulder its responsibilities by taking urgent measures to ensure an end to the brutal and barbaric aggression against the Palestinian people.

The final statement also called for "an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers to be held at the headquarters of the organization's General Secretariat to discuss the ongoing crimes committed by (Israel) against the Palestinian people," without specifying its date.

In turn, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) appreciated what was stated in the final statement of the Executive Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, in its extraordinary open-ended meeting held at the level of foreign ministers, in the city of Jeddah in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In a statement, Hamas welcomed all the words and positions issued during the meeting by the foreign ministers of the Islamic world, which demonstrate the consensus of the Arab and Islamic nation to stand with the just cause of the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, and against the barbaric aggression practiced by the Zionist enemy against their land and sanctities. .

Hamas expressed its hope that these calls and positions would be translated into practical reality, curbing and isolating this enemy, nullifying all attempts to integrate it into the body of our nation, ending the genocidal war it is waging against the Gaza Strip, supporting the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their land, their adherence to their rights, and enabling them to defend themselves. About himself and his sanctities, until liberation and return are achieved.

Hamas statement called for the need to immediately stop the barbaric aggression against the Gaza Strip, immediately open safe humanitarian corridors to deliver urgent aid, immediately lift the siege imposed on it, and hold the occupation fully responsible for its aggression, siege, and massacres against our people in the Strip.
