The Secretary-General of the Asaib Ahl al-Haq movement, Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, discussed with the head of the National Wisdom Movement, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, today, Saturday, the recent security developments and the government’s position on ending the presence of the (international coalition) in the country.
The media office of Sheikh Khazali said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The Secretary-General of the Asaib Ahl al-Haq movement, Sheikh Qais Khazali, received in his office in Baghdad, today, Saturday, the head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, and during the meeting, the recent political and security developments were discussed.”.
The both side expressed strong condemnation and denunciation of the American terrorist bombing that targeted the headquarters of the Popular Mobilization Forces, and praised the Prime Minister’s speech in which he called for an end to the presence of the so-called (international coalition) in Iraq, and the necessity of taking the necessary measures to protect national sovereignty.
Al-Khazali and Al-Hakim stressed according to the statement “the importance of accelerating the formation of provincial councils and the necessity of choosing competent and honest personalities to manage the provinces in a way that achieves the interests, aspirations and needs of citizens and the speedy implementation of development projects and programs that fulfill the aspirations of citizens and contribute to rise the level of development, services and reconstruction.”
