The leader of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri Al-Maliki, described today, Saturday, the arrest of the killers of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Baqir Al-Sadr as a great national achievement that reflects the dedication of the National Security Service to achieving justice and pursuing criminals.
Al-Maliki said in a tweet on the "X" platform - followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "I extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to the head of the Iraqi National Security Service and all officers and members; for their great efforts in protecting the security of the homeland and citizens."
He added, "Your arrest of the criminal cell affiliated with the criminal Saddamist Baathist repression apparatus, involved in the assassination of the martyred reference Sayyid Muhammad Baqir Al-Sadr and his sister (may God be pleased with them), in addition to the assassination and liquidation of a group of religious and national figures, is a great national achievement that reflects your dedication to achieving justice and pursuing criminals."
He said, "Your tireless work and vigilance for the security of Iraq is a source of pride and honor for all Iraqis. We ask God to grant you success and guide your steps in serving this dear country, and to protect you from all harm."
