The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim, said on Sunday that Victory Day is an Iraqi honor that gained the respect of the world.

Sayyid Al-Hakim said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Iraqi Victory Day represents victory over Daesh myth and the liberation of the lands from the clutches of this dark Takfiri clique, and an Iraqi honor, which won the respect of the world, and put the country on the threshold of a new era, an achievement that would not have been achieved without the response of our people to the call of the supreme religious authority in Najaf and the clans, the Peshmerga, and everyone who has done the most precious to crown this great epic with victory," he said.

He added, "We are fully confident that our people, with all its components and sincere national political forces, will be able to consolidate its democratic experience and consolidate it through the ballot boxes, preserve its supportive victory over terrorism, and build a better future, a common destiny and a legitimate ambition in a just and democratic state under which everyone will benefit based on citizenship".
