The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim, said on Sunday that diplomatic developments between Riyadh and Tehran will be reflected positively on the region, while pointing out that Iraq is making achievements at the political, social, security and service levels.
A statement issued by the media office of Sayyid Al-Hakim, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the head of the National Wisdom Movement, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim, met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom during a Ramadan visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the two parties exchanged congratulations on the blessed month of Ramadan and the approaching Eid Al-Fitr, and wished the two brotherly Iraqi and Saudi countries and peoples more brilliance, prosperity, security and safety."
It added that "the two sides exchanged views on the developments of the political scene in Iraq and the region and the relations between Baghdad and Riyadh."
It added that “Sayyid Al-Hakim expressed his support for any step that contributes to stopping the violence and fighting in Yemen and restoring this pivotal country its role and its Arab and regional status," expressing his happiness "for the ongoing practical steps to restore Syria and occupy its seat in the next Arab summit."
It stressed that "diplomatic developments between Riyadh and Tehran will reflect positively on the whole region, praising "the language of moderation and understanding that prevails between the parties of the region to reach a unified vision for managing relations."
Sayyid Al-Hakim expressed concern about "the unfortunate developments in Sudan" and wished "to address the crisis in this brotherly Arab country through dialogue and understanding between the parties to the conflict."
He pointed out that "Iraq is making achievements at the political, social, security and service levels, due to the presence of the State Administration Coalition supporting the government, and the return of the social fabric to its normal position after defeating terrorism and losing its social incubators."
He pointed out that "oil prices have achieved a relative financial abundance that enabled the government to provide services and provide job opportunities," pointing to "the importance of cooperation in common challenges, especially in the climate file and its changes."
He called for "more cooperation in the field of research and scientific and applied steps in this field."
