A statement issued by the media office of Sayyid Al-Hakim, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the head of the National Wisdom Movement, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakim, met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom during a Ramadan visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the two parties exchanged congratulations on the blessed month of Ramadan and the approaching Eid Al-Fitr, and wished the two brotherly Iraqi and Saudi countries and peoples more brilliance, prosperity, security and safety."

It added that "the two sides exchanged views on the developments of the political scene in Iraq and the region and the relations between Baghdad and Riyadh."

It added that “Sayyid Al-Hakim expressed his support for any step that contributes to stopping the violence and fighting in Yemen and restoring this pivotal country its role and its Arab and regional status," expressing his happiness "for the ongoing practical steps to restore Syria and occupy its seat in the next Arab summit."
