Russian President Vladimir Putin announced his intention to run for a new presidential term.
Putin's announcement came during a ceremony in the St. George Hall in the Kremlin, while the President handed over the Gold Star medals to the heroes of Russia.
The President stated to the fighter of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine and the hero of the Donetsk People's Republic, Artyom Goga, during an informal conversation between the President and the participants in the medal ceremony. Gold Star said he intends to run for a new presidential term.
The Central Election Commission had set the date for the Russian presidential elections as March 15, 16, and 17, and the head of the commission, Ella Pamfilova, said that the decision regarding the three-day formula had been approved by members of the Central Election Commission through voting.
