Prime Minister Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani said on Wednesday, that tax reform is significant to foreign investors and companies, noting that the government is firm in re-establishing the business environment.
The Prime Minister said in a speech during the conference (Reforming Tax System in Iraq) and attended by the reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "during a year of the government's work, we have identified one of the government's priorities, which is economic reform."
He clarified that "the task of economic reform has many dimensions that meetings with investors were aimed at tax reform, adding that "Tax reform is significant to foreign investors and companies, stressing that "the government is serious about restoring the business environment."
The Prime Minister indicated that "the problem is related to the tax reality," noting that "important progress has been made in banking reform and the management of agricultural land and residential cities," He also called on "the Parliament to legislate laws related to reform the tax system."
