A governmental source reavealed on Tuesday,that The Central Bank Of Iraq-CBI has boosted millions of euros as an initial payment to cover imports from Türkiye.
“To implement the banking arrangements agreement concluded with Türkiye last week, CBI, since last Sunday, 3rd of December, has boosted tens of millions of euros as an initial payment to cover retailers’ imports from Turkey, through Iraqi merchants paying in Iraqi dinars and CBI supply them in euros so that settlement with Turkish merchants is made in Turkish lira,” the source told The Iraqi News Agency-INA.
