Security operation launched in Kirkuk: PMF

A joint force of the army and the Popular Mobilization Forces PMF carried out Sunday, a security operation north and east of Kirkuk.
 
"A joint force from the 16th Brigade in the Kirkuk and East Tigris Operations Command of the Popular Mobilization Forces, in conjunction with a force from the Iraqi army, launched a security operation from the northern and eastern axes in Kirkuk province,” said a statement by the PMF, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

"The operation aims to pursue Daesh remnants, end its movements and fully secure the area," the statement said.
