Najaf Airport security arrests 2 carrying narcotic pills and unpermitted sum of money

Najaf International Airport Directorate arrested an Iraqi vehicle driver and a foreign traveler who were seized carrying narcotic pills, an ampoule used for drug using and an amount of money exceeding the allowed limit, according to the instructions of the central bank of Iraq.

"the seizure was carried out by the security company in cooperation with the search and Investigation Department at the port Directorate and the drug detachment during the vehicle inspection at the entrance gate to the airport," said the Border Port Authority in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

"A seizure report has been organized and the accused have been referred to the Directorate of narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs to take appropriate legal measures," the Authority added.
