Interior Minister in Basra to oversee the security situation, preparations for the upcoming elections

Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari arrived in Basra Governorate, to follow up on the security situation and ongoing preparations for the local elections.
 
The Ministry of Interior stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari arrived in Basra Governorate."
"The visit comes to oversee the ministry's detachments, review the security situation, and follow up on the ongoing preparations for the provincial council elections," the statement continued.
