159 IDPs return to homes in Diyala: Migration Minister

Minister of Migration and Displacement Ivan Faiq Jabro announced on Wednesday, the voluntary return of (159) displaced people from Qarah Tou camp in Sulaymaniyah governorate to their original areas of residence in Diyala governorate, in line with the government program and in implementation of the national plan for the return of displaced persons.
 
Jabro said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The cadres of the ministry's branches distributed among the families returning to their areas of origin durable goods including (refrigerators, cookers and television screens) and relief aid to encourage voluntary return."
 
 
She confirmed that "the coming days will witness the return of more displaced families to their areas of origin because there is a real desire to return voluntarily due to the conditions they live in displacement camps."
