Iraq awarded for Lead Digital Inclusion, SAMENA LEAD Awards

    INA - BAGHDAD 

    Iraqi Media and Communications Commission won the Lead Award in Digital Inclusion in the UAE.

    “It came on the sidelines of the Leadership Awards Ceremony organized by the SAMENA LEAD Communications Council in the United Arab Emirates in the presence of senior decision makers from regulatory authorities, bodies and global institutions in various parts of the world," included a statement by the authority, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    The Chairman of the Commission, Ali Al-Muayyad, stressed during the ceremony that “Honoring Iraq with this award came due to the efforts made by the Information Commission in the field of regulating the communications and information technology sector as well as working on regional and international openness to develop the sector inside Iraq," as he thanked the Prime Minister, Muhammed S. Al-Sudani, for his interest in supporting and developing this mportant sector."

    The statement added, "The Commission works to ensure equality and fair access for the public to information and communications technologies and their better use in life and work in areas where these services are absent or weak."
