Al-Shammari: PM Al-Sudani confirms significance of strengthening bonds with Arabs

Interior minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari confirmed on Tuesday that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani confirmed the significance of strengthening bonds with Arab brothers, while pointing to the development of security agencies institutions in cooperation with developed countries.

Al-Shammari said in a speech during the launch of the 13th Arab Conference of heads of security training and rehabilitation institutions, held in Baghdad and attended by the reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "under the auspices of the prime minister, commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, the Iraqi Ministry of interior hosts in Baghdad the thirteenth Arab Conference of heads of security training and rehabilitation institutions in Arab countries.
 
He added that "it is a pleasure for Baghdad to host a group of leaders of the security training and rehabilitation institution to discuss and deliberate on raising the level of efficiency of security training and capacity-building for Arab countries within the unified Arab security framework sought by all Arab interior ministries, including our ministry.

He explained that " this attendance is a sincere expression of the depth of brotherly bonds, which reflects a strong desire among everyone to improve the level of security services provided to the peoples and strengthen security and stability in our countries," pointing out that "the security forces in the Republic of Iraq assumed historical and humanitarian responsibility on behalf of the whole world, in the face of the most heinous crime known in the modern history of Iraq represented by the gangs of Daesh, where the armed security forces and the Popular Mobilization Forces made sacrifices with their precious blood, so as to achieve a great victory and eliminate terrorism irrevocably.

He went on to say that "we look forward to the exchange of ideas and opinions between the Arab brothers to transfer experiences and successful experiences to raise the level of efficiency of performance of security agencies, and the implementation of the law in all Arab countries, embodying one of the forms of Arab integration in the security field, training and capacity building in particular," expressing his readiness "to cooperate and send experts and trainers from Iraq to raise capabilities to serve the Arab peoples.

He stated that "his ministry has achieved great achievements during this year 2023, at the internal level through a comprehensive reform campaign in the ministry and reviewing the mechanisms and contexts of ministerial and administrative work and the great results that have occurred in record times".
 
"At the external level, through hosting Arab and regional conferences and meetings, including this conference, and the expansion of the conclusion of memorandums of understanding for security cooperation, this is the fruit of the interest and support presented by the prime minister, commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces, who emphasizes the significance of the bonds with Arab brothers to achieve security integration within the framework of the unified Arab security project," he added, pointing out that "security institutions have achieved great achievements through the use of field experiences gained in training programs and activities contributed to improving the level of security services provided to the public.
 
He pointed out that "all those concerned with the Security Affairs indicate that the citizen's trust in the security services is one of the most important ways of success, stressing "seeking to develop security institutions through cooperation, coordination and communication to benefit from successful experiences in these fields with Arab brothers and friends in developed countries.
