A Saudi official to (INA): Iraq's participation in the Arab-Chinese summit is essential and important

    The Saudi Ministry of Information confirmed today, Thursday, that Iraq represents a strategic depth for the Kingdom and its participation in the Arab-Chinese summit is essential and important, pointing out that holding the summit aims to deliver messages to the world and confirms that the Arabs are a connected unit.

    The official of the media centers for the three Saudi summits (Chinese, Arab and Gulf) in the ministry, Hussein Al-Shammari, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The hosting of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for these summits, including the Arab-Chinese summit, comes to confirm the role of joint Arab action and to prove that the Arabs can work as a connected unit.”. Noting that China is the Kingdom's largest trading partner with more than $67 billion annually, surpassing the United States and Europe combined.

    He added, "The Kingdom has prepared many files and agreements to transfer technology to the region through this summit, as there are twenty agreements worth $29 billion in contracts between China and Saudi Arabia."
    And he stated, "The Arab participation in this summit sends a message to the world that the Arabs continue to advance and possess the energy that is the backbone of the global economy,".

    He continued, "The Gulf states have a role in the summits, as the previous Iraqi participation in the Security and Development Summit had a positive impact and an important addition," explaining that "Iraq undoubtedly means a lot to us, and it is a strategic depth and an integral part of the region and its participation in the Arab-Chinese summit." essential and important.
    He stated, "Such summits prove to the world that there is joint Arab action," explaining that "this summit is attended by more than 16 Arab presidents and leaders.".

    He also indicated that "there is an awareness among the Arabs themselves that joint Arab action can lead us to our goals," expressing his hope that "the number of Arab countries participating in the upcoming summits will increase."

    He pointed out that "opening partnerships with China does not mean that we eliminate the other, but rather our goal is to build balanced relations with the East and the West," pointing out that "the Arabs have become participants in the making of the new international order."
    Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani arrived Thursday evening in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, to participate in the Arab-Chinese summit.
