Government intends to develop an artificial intelligence strategy

    General Secretariat of the Cabinet announced Tuesday, the intention to develop an artificial intelligence strategy.
     
    The General Secretariat of the Cabinet stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “the National Data Center in the General Secretariat of the Cabinet held a meeting headed by the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence, and in the presence of specialists in the department, to discuss emerging technologies using artificial intelligence.” 
     
     
    The Secretariat added, "The meeting also discussed the mechanism for collecting data via the Internet of Things, and reviewed some of the services available on the Ur portal, as well as reviewing the electronic platforms for collecting and cleaning data using innovative technologies that would contribute to the development of the country's digital infrastructure."
     
    The Prime Minister's Advisor praised "the achievements made by the Center in record time, as he encouraged the continuation of work in a practical and innovative spirit and to provide more developments in this field," stressing "the necessity of continuing communication and sustaining this momentum to provide more services to citizens."
     
    For his part, the supervisor of the secretariat of the e-Government Committee, Ahmed Al-Zubaidi, explained that “the draft artificial intelligence strategy is currently being discussed by the members of the committee and its advisory team, in preparation for its presentation in the upcoming meetings and approval.”
