630g of crystal seized: Border Ports Commission

    The Border Ports Commission announced Saturday, the seizure of (630) grams of crystal narcotic substance at the Shalamcheh border port.

    A statement by the Commission received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that it "was able to arrest two foreign travelers at the Shalamcheh border port and seized in their possession crystal narcotic substance weighing (630) grams."
     
    The statement added that "the seizure was carried out by members of the Customs Police Station and members of the Port Protection Force Directorate in a failed attempt to smuggle it and bring it into the country," noting that "a proper arrest report was organized and the accused and the seized items were referred to the Shalamcheh Customs Police Station to take appropriate legal measures."
